Do's and Don'ts before Laser Hair Removal

Before treatment

  1. Shave the area 1 day prior to your treatment. However, if it's your first time, leave a small area of hair so our laser technician can exam it.

  2. No waxing, tweezing, depilation cream, threading for at least 4 weeks prior to your session and during the session. Only shaving is acceptable

  3. Avoid direct sun exposure or tanning for at least 2 weeks before treatments and during the treatments

  4. Avoid make up, deodorant, lotion on the day of appointment

  5. Avoid photosensitivity drug such as antibiotics 2 weeks before treatment

  6. Laser treatments cannot be performed in pregnant or breast feeding women, please wait 6 months after finishing before coming in for the treatments

  7. For darker skin colors clients, we will do a patch test over the area of treatment and will schedule for a follow up result before performing a laser treatment

Post treatment care

  1. Redness and discomfort may occur, you may use cold compress or Aloe Vera gel or Hydrocortisone cream to help ease the inflammation.

  2. No Makeup, lotions, deodorant, perfume for 24 hours

  3. Gently clean the area with mild soap and pat dry, no scrubs or rubs for 24-48 hours

  4. Avoid direct sun exposure or tanning throughout the treatments, use physical protection and Sunscreen SPF> 30

  5. Avoid hot tubs, hot shower, hot saunas, strenous sweating activities for 24-48 hours
